Longmen Grottoes Street

Longmen Grottoes street is under the Management Committee of Longmen Grottoes World Cultural Heritage Park. It is adjacent to ER Guang Expressway and Jiaozhi railway in the East, Wangcheng Avenue in the West and Luoyang New District in the north, with a total area of 31.7 square kilometers and cultivated land area of 6.98 square kilometers. It is close to Zhengzhou-Xi'an Passenger Dedicated Line, with convenient transportation and unique location.

brief introduction

In 1958, it belonged to Luonan commune. Longmen commune was established in 1961. It was built in 1984.

In 1997, it covers an area of 43.1 square kilometers and has a population of 33260 (in 2010). It governs 14 administrative villages, namely peicun, Gaozhuang, Longmen, Weiwan, Sigou, Huayuan, Ducun, Nanliu, shangtun, Xutun, Litun, Wangshan, Tianshan and Zhanggou.

In 2006, it has jurisdiction over five communities, including coalfield team 2, Hedong, No.1 company, Zhennan and Sinopec, and 14 administrative villages, including Longmen, peicun, Gaozhuang, Weiwan, Sigou, Huayuan, Ducun, Nanliu, shangtun, Xutun, Litun, Zhanggou, Tianshan and Wangshan.

In 2008, Guozhai village, Chengguan Town, Yichuan County, and dongcaodian and xicaodian villages, Pengpo Town, were put under the jurisdiction of Longmen Town, Luolong District.

In October 2012, the notice of Luoyang Municipal People's Government on canceling the establishment of sub district offices in some towns and townships, canceling Longmen town of Luolong District, establishing two sub district offices of Longmen and Longmen Grottoes respectively, and implementing the urban management system. Longmen Grottoes sub district office has jurisdiction over 10 communities including Zhennan, Hedong, Longmen, Gaozhuang, Zhanggou, Sigou, Weiwan, Guozhai, xicaodian and dongcaodian. Longmen sub district office has jurisdiction over four communities including petrochemical, coalfield second team, Long'an and Longsheng, and six villages including Pei Village, Huayuan village, Du Village, shangtun village, Tianshan Village and Wangshan village.

The World Cultural Heritage Longmen Grottoes in the area attracts worldwide attention. The ten thousand Mu forest park is lush and lush, and the hot spring passes through the tropical zone. Longmen, also known as yique, is located in the southern suburb of Luoyang, the ancient capital. The two mountains are facing each other, the Yishui river flows in the middle, the Foguang mountain scenery is beautiful, and it is the tianque spectacle described by Su Guo in Song Dynasty as "two towering mountain gates, one water flowing together".
