natural environment

The terrain of Baqian township is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, which is the "three hills plus two depressions" terrain. The three hills are malinggang, wansenggang and shuanglonggang, which are all north-south. The total length of malinggang is 12 km, wansenggang is 10 km, and shuanglonggang is 6 km. The land is mainly sandy loam, with neutral pH value, flat and soft soil. The groundwater resources are rich and the air is fresh.

Meihe River, Gaolu River and Fanxing River are mainly seasonal rivers in the township. Meihe river is a relatively large river in the township, with a total length of 13.5 km and a northwest southeast trend. The widest part of the river is 35 m and the narrowest part is 6 m. Gaolu river is 8.5 km and Fanxing River is 5.5 km, with a north-south trend. Both rivers undertake the task of domestic sewage discharge in the township. The widest part of the two rivers is 12 M The narrowest point is 8 meters, and the three rivers finally flow into Changge.

Baqian township is a sandy land with temperate continental climate. It is characterized by warm spring, dry and windy, hot and rainy summer, cool autumn, cold winter, less rain and snow, long spring and summer, short winter, four distinct seasons, mild climate, and annual average temperature of 14.2 ℃. The average sunshine duration is 2368.4 hours. The distribution of annual precipitation is uneven, mainly from June to September. The planting industry in the township is mainly high-quality wheat, forage corn, plastic film peanut, tobacco leaf and small miscellaneous fruit. Due to the long light time, short frost free period and less rain in autumn, it is especially suitable for the growth of autumn crops.

The construction of small towns was planned in 1986 and 2002 respectively, expanding the original 1.5 square kilometers to 3.5 square kilometers. In 1999, the postal and telecommunication services of Baqian Township were operated independently. In addition to the original delivery work, the post office also added postal savings, postal logistics, express mail, philatelic insurance and other services.

agricultural economy

The land of Baqian township is flat, the soil is soft, the pH value is slightly acidic, the climate is mild, the water resources are rich, the illumination time is long, and the air is fresh. It is very suitable for the production of fruits and vegetables. Due to the unique natural conditions, the experimental base of Henan Agricultural University, Zhengzhou Vegetable Research Institute and other units jointly develop agricultural development projects with Baqian township. The development of agricultural economy in the past eight thousand years has achieved initial results.

1、 The construction of export vegetable base with Xinghe Company as the leader has developed steadily. The annual export vegetable planting area is more than 2000 mu, and the average income per mu is more than 1000 yuan. 2 new, special and excellent varieties were promoted, 3 key villages with an area of more than 500 mu were cultivated, and 2100 farmers were driven. Xinghe Company, a leading enterprise, was named as the key leading enterprise of agricultural industrialization by Xinzheng City.

2、 The construction of off season vegetable base based on the demonstration base of 8000 Village Agricultural University is developing rapidly. A total of 258 greenhouses and 400 mu of open vegetable area have been developed, making the scale of the base more than 500 mu.
