Danian Town, belonging to juancheng County, Heze City, Shandong Province, is located in the northeast of juancheng County, bordering Jishan town in the East, Fenghuang town and Guquan street in the south, old town in the west, lijinstang town and Zuoying Township in the north. The area is 43.66 square kilometers. In 2018, 37502 people registered residence.

In January 1979, Danian commune was established. In December 1983, the commune was withdrawn and Danian township was established. In 2012, the township was removed and the town was built. In June 2020, 21 administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of Danian town.

In August 1949, it belonged to four and five districts of juancheng county.

In September 1958, it belonged to the old city, Zuoying, Chengguan and Jishan communes.

In January 1979, Danian commune was formed by 8 teams from Zuoying, 4 teams from Jishan, 10 teams from Chengguan and 5 teams from Jiucheng.

In December 1983, the commune was withdrawn and Danian township was established.
