Dahuang market town, belonging to Mudan District of Heze City, Shandong Province, is located in the southwest of Mudan District, adjacent to Zhangwan town of Dingtao County in the East, Hanji town and Taoyuan town of Cao County in the south, Datun town of Dongming County in the West and wanghaotun town in the north. The area is 57.85 square kilometers. In 2018, 49160 people registered residence.

In 1981, dahuangji commune was established. In December 1983, it was changed into dahuangji township. In October 1995, the township was removed and Dahuang market town was built. In June 2020, Dahuang market town has jurisdiction over 36 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 46 industrial enterprises in Dahuang market town, including 18 industrial enterprises above Designated Size and 73 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In 1957, the 16 townships were merged into three townships: wanghaotun, Huangji and longwangfeng.

In 1958, wanghaotun Township, Huangji Township and longwangfeng Township merged to form Chaoying commune.

In 1959, the residence was changed to wanghaotun commune.

In April 1963, wanghaotun commune was divided into wanghaotun commune and Huangji commune.

In 1981, it was renamed dahuangji commune because of its duplicate name.

In December 1983, it was changed into dahuangji township.

In October 1995, the township was removed and Dahuang market town was built.
