Donggu town is located in the west of Guanxian County, Shandong Province, across the river from Guantao County, Hebei Province. It is the west gate of Shandong Province. Donggu town has a total area of 113.5 square kilometers, 92000 mu of arable land, 84 administrative villages and 79655 permanent residents (2017). In 1999, it was approved as a central town by the provincial government. Hanji railway, Qinglan expressway, national highway 106, 309 and provincial highway 315 meet vertically and horizontally in the town, with convenient transportation. High quality garlic and famous rare fruits are the agricultural specialties of the town. Powder processing industry, chemical industry and foundry industry are the dominant industries of the town.

Donggu town is located in the west of Guanxian county (115 e, 36 n), the East Bank of Zhangwei River, and the west of the old Yellow River. 12 kilometers away from the county seat, it is located in the westernmost part of Shandong Province, across the river from Guantao County of Hebei Province, which is the west gate of Shandong Province. Historical evolution

The East ancient city has a long history. In the spring and Autumn period, it was the Guanshi Town, and in the Han Dynasty, it was the Guantao County. Later Zhao and the Northern Wei Dynasty were governed by Yangping County, while Maozhou, Yangping county and Guantao County in the Northern Zhou Dynasty were all located here. The East ancient city used to be a water transport wharf, with more business customers and once more prosperous. During the Ming, Qing and Republic of China, the eastern ancient city belonged to Guantao County. In 1943, it belonged to Yongzhi county. At the beginning of the people's Republic of China, it was the South Guantao District of Guantao County. In 1958, Guantao County of Sui Dynasty was merged into Guanxian County as nantao commune. In 1961, it was divided into Guantao County and Guantao County. In 1965, Guanxian county was once again designated as nanguantao district. In 1984, when it was renamed Donggu Town, 14 villages in the north were assigned to Yangzhao Township, and the rest were transformed into Donggu town. It is the birthplace of Guanxian County, the prefectures and counties of the past dynasties, the ruins of the ancient city and the tombs of 62 martyrs.

Agriculture

Garlic has been planted in Donggu town for decades, with a planting area of 48000 Mu and a radiation area of nearly 100 li. It is a pollution-free product. Donggu town people will continue to develop and expand this leading industry, strive to reach one mu per capita planting area in three to five years, and build the town into the largest garlic production and distribution center in western Shandong. With tianmayuan village as the representative, the planting area of famous, excellent and rare fruits is 20000 mu, and the high-quality apples, Fengshui pears and cherries produced are well-known both inside and outside the province.

Vermicelli processing is a traditional handicraft industry in Donggu Town, which has a history of more than 300 years, and has now formed large-scale production. The town has more than 1000 households, more than 4000 people engaged in powder processing industry, daily powder 30000 kg, an annual output of more than 10 million jin. Wanhe brand Fenpi once won the title of high quality product at all China Agricultural Products Expo.

Guanxian donggucheng Central Primary School was founded in 1986, and moved to the east of Changshun canal and the south of national highway 309 in September 1997. The school covers an area of 17200 square meters, including 3130 square meters of school buildings and 4500 square meters of playground. Green area 6200 square meters, mathematics, science, art, music, sports, health equipment have reached the national class I standard, 40 computers, 10000 books, 20 kinds of teaching materials, 28 kinds of newspapers and periodicals. Guanxian donggucheng middle school is located in the residence of the town government, at the intersection of 106 National Highway and 329 provincial highway. The school was founded in 1969, formerly Guanxian nantao high school, and was adjusted to donggucheng second junior high school in 1992. In 1998, it merged with donggucheng No.1 middle school to become donggucheng middle school. In 2005, Yangzhao middle school merged into donggucheng middle school to become Guanxian donggucheng middle school. For many years, the school has been rated as the county's advanced unit of comprehensive evaluation of junior high school work and advanced unit of junior high school teaching work. 62 martyr's tomb

On the west side of the middle part of the forest belt of the old road, at the head of Tianzhuang village, there is a tall circular concrete tomb in which the remains of 62 Anti Japanese martyrs are buried. This is the famous "Tomb of 62 martyrs". The martyr's tomb is surrounded by green trees and grass all the year round. The towering green gray Pavilion in front of the tomb is covered with moss. The weeping inscription records a tragic and tragic story.

Around the Spring Festival in 1940, more than 5000 Japanese and puppet troops stationed in Handan, Linqing, Guanxian, Guantao, Qiuxian, Quzhou and Weixian at that time surrounded the Anti Japanese base in western Shandong with iron walls. Under the leadership of sun Shusheng, the battalion instructor, and Wang Delin, the company commander of the first regiment of our anti Japanese advance column, they fought for several days. They lost more than half of their lives and finally failed to break out of the encirclement. Finally, they retreated to a Tulou in Zhaoguan village in the west of Weihe River to resist the enemy. After a long time, the Japanese army set fire to the building. The heroes would rather die than surrender, chanting slogans one after another, jumping into the fire and dying for their country.

Afterwards, the local people gathered 62 martyrs' remains and buried them together here. For half a century, every year during the Qingming Festival, willow catkins and pear flowers are in full bloom. People from four townships come here one after another to pay homage to the heroes.

Tourism

Yangping old county, East ancient city relics.

Out of the county, 10 kilometers west along 329 provincial road, on the East Bank of Weihe River, is the first ancient city in Guanxian. The East ancient city has a long history. In the spring and Autumn period, Guanshi town was located here. It was Guantao County in the Han Dynasty, Yangping County in the northern and Southern Dynasties, and then Maozhou. Because Wei River passes by the city, it was a water transport wharf in history, once prosperous. Located in donggucheng village, donggucheng site is 1500 meters long from north to South and 1000 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of 1.5 million square meters.
