In March 1950, it was a suburb of the city, with sunjiatuan Township and Heqing township. In September 1956, Heqing township was merged into sunjiatuan township. In September 1958, sunjiatuan commune was established. In April 1984, it was changed to sunjiatuan town. In December 2013, sunjiatuan town was changed into sunjiatuan sub district office. As of June 2020, sunjiatuan street has 8 communities under its jurisdiction.

History of construction

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Sanli, Xinwang capital of Wendeng county.
