Nanma Street

Nanma street, belonging to Yiyuan County, Zibo City, Shandong Province, is located in the west of Yiyuan County, adjacent to Lishan street in the East, Yanya town in the south, DAZHANGZHUANG town in the southwest, Lucun town in the West and Nanshan Town in the north. The total area of the district is 120.2 square kilometers, with a total population of 61000 at the end of 2011.

In 1944, Yiyuan County was established as Lishan district. In 1957, Nanma town was built. In March 2001, gouquan town was abolished. In November 2011, the zoning was adjusted to Nanma town and Lishan street. In 2014, the town was removed and streets were set up. In June 2020, Nanma Street governs 15 communities and 41 administrative villages.

Historical evolution

During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, Nanma town belonged to Yishui County and Mengyin County respectively.

In 1944, Yiyuan County was established as Lishan district.

In 1957, Nanma town was built.

Most of Nanma street is mountainous and hilly, the terrain is high in the West and low in the East, high in the north and low in the south. The ground elevation is generally between 300 and 500 meters. The highest point is located in tianjingyu Yuhuang mountain, with an altitude of 767.43 meters; the lowest point is located in Buxia River Basin, with an altitude of 280 meters.

The river course in Nanma street belongs to Yihe River system. The three sources of the Yihe River, namely, the great Zhangzhuang River, the Xujiazhuang River and the Nanyan River, flow into the Yihe River respectively from gouquan, Xiangyu and Yongxing Guanzhuang, and from the west to the East after Tianhu lake.
