Hongshiya street is located in the northeast of Huangdao District. It was established as a town in 1984. At the end of 2003, Qingdao municipal government reported to Shandong provincial government that the renovation system of Hongshiya town in Jiaonan City was assigned to Huangdao District. In 2004, Hongshiya town was abolished, and Hongshiya sub district office was set up as the administrative area of the former Hongshiya town. The office was stationed in the original Hongshiya Town People's government. By the end of 2004, it had an area of 56.8 square kilometers, 36 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee and 33610 people (2010).

Historical evolution

It is said that since 1898, Shao Mingkui, Li Zhenyuan, fuhanchi and Yang shoucan have come here to do business and set up shops from the nearby villages of Shaojia, Shiliang Yang, Fujia and Shancao. After that, many people came here to do business and live. The residents come from two provinces and 24 counties. Because it is located in the sea cliff, the stone is red, so it is called Hongshiya. It was called Hongshiya District in 1955, changed to commune in 1958, and set up Hongshiya town in 1984. In 1995, it covers an area of 61 square kilometers and has a population of 37000. It has jurisdiction over Hongshiya, leijiadianzi, Houyang, Longquan Hebei, Longquan Hexi, yujiawazi, Longquan Hedong, Longquan Qijia, Longquan Zhaojia, Longquan Wangjia, Shaojia, FUJIA, Haojia, dongyangjia, Shanyin, liulinzi, Jiejia, Shansui, Nanying, Xitun, heluobu, dongtun, chengzibu, butaodacun and fajiayuan There are 44 administrative villages, including guojiataizi, longwanya, Shancao, Shansong, Shanli, shanluan, Dongguo, niuqiqian, shanwangxi, shanwangdong, gaoligou, longdou, guanjiawa, Longfeng, keluoshi, Zhangge and Xiguo.

In 2004, Hongshiya town was abolished and Hongshiya street was established.
