Badaguan Street

Badaguan street is located in the middle of Shinan District, Qingdao city. It borders Zhanshan temple in the East, Zhanshan street in the north, University Road in the north, Jiangsu Road community in the north, and the sea in the south. It has the natural scenery of seashore scenic spot, No.1, No.2 and No.3 bathing beach with Qingdao characteristics. It is adjacent to Shinan District in the north. The area is high in the north and low in the south, belonging to the North-South hilly landform. It covers an area of about 6.72 square kilometers, with 8 community neighborhood committees and 23866 people (2010).

Historical evolution

In May 2004, the east part of Daxue road in the former Jinkou road sub district and Badaguan sub district were jointly signed as Badaguan sub district. Located in the middle of Shinan District, it borders Jiangsu Road Community Public Service Committee with Daxue road in the west, Zhanshan street with taipingjiao Sixth Road in the East, Xingan Branch Road and Taiping mountain in the north, and Lu Xun Park, No.1, No.2 and No.3 bathing beach in the south. At the end of 2005, it covers an area of 6.72 square kilometers and has a population of 39229 in 12692 households. It has jurisdiction over eight communities including Hongdao Road, Jinkou Road, Laiyang Road, Fushan Road, Qixia Road, Badaguan, taipingjiao and Fotao road.

The main roads are Xing'an Road, Xing'an Branch Road, Hongdao Road, Hongdao Branch Road, Dengzhou Road, Yushan Road, Yushan Branch Road, Jinkou 1st Road, Jinkou 2nd Road, Jinkou 3rd road, Laiyang Road, Qinyu Road, Haiyang Road, Daxue Road, Fushan Road, Fushan Branch Road, Nanhai Road, Wendeng Road, Wushengguan Road, Wushengguan Branch Road, Zhengyangguan Road, Zhengyangguan Branch Road, Zijingguan Road, ningwuguan road Hanguguan Road, Shanhaiguan Road, Jiayuguan Road, Juyongguan Road, Linhuaiguan Road, Shaoguan Road, Huanghai Road, Huiquan Road, Wuchang Road, Wuchang Branch Road, Nanhai Road, Rongcheng Road, Fotao Road, Queshan Road, Hong Kong West Road, taipingjiao road 1-6, Zhanshan road 1-6, Yueyang Road, Yunyang Road, Shidao Road, Liandao Road, Xianyang Road, etc. There are Badaguan scenic spot, XiaoYushan Park, Kang Youwei's former residence, the first bathing beach, Zhongshan Park, Baihua Park, etc.

The former Jinkou road street is under the jurisdiction of Shinan District, Qingdao. It is located in the middle of the area. It governs three communities. It was founded in 1954. In 1996, it covers an area of 0.6 square kilometers and has a population of 27000. It has jurisdiction over 12 neighborhood committees, including Jinkou 1st Road, Jinkou 2nd Road, Jinkou 3rd road, Laiyang Road, Yushan Road, Daxue Road, Hongdao Road, Huangxian Road, Zhangdian Road, Longkou Road, Longhua Road and Haiyang road. In May 2004, the east part of Daxue road under the jurisdiction of the former Jinkou road sub district office and Badaguan sub district office worked together.

The original Badaguan Street governs three communities. Wendeng road street was founded in December 1954. In 1996, it covers an area of 5.4 square kilometers and has a population of 16000. It has jurisdiction over 10 neighborhood committees of Fushan Road, Fushan Branch Road, Gongyuan, Jingshan Road, Wuchang Road, Badaguan, Futao Road, taipingjiao Road, Yueyang Road and Zhanshan Road, and 6 family committees of Wuchang road Union, Qingdao sanatorium, Futao road Union, fleet airport, Navy sanatorium and the first sanatorium of Jinan Military Region. In December 1998, Wendeng road street was renamed Badaguan street. It is named after Badaguan scenic spot in the area under its jurisdiction.

Badaguan street is named after Badaguan scenic area in its jurisdiction. It is located in the middle of Shinan District of Qingdao, bordering Jiangsu Road community in the west, Zhanshan street in the East, Shibei District in the north, Lu Xun Park and the first, second and third bathing beaches in the south. It was Wendeng road street in December 1954. In February 1967, it was renamed Dongfanghong Road District. In September 1972, the name of Wendeng road was restored. After December 1998, it was renamed Badaguan street. According to the adjustment of Street Division, Wendeng road sub district office was renamed Badaguan sub district office. In May 2004, Shinan District readjusted the sub district office. The east part of Daxue road under the jurisdiction of the former Jinkou road sub district office co operated with Badaguan sub district office, and its name was still Badaguan sub district office.

[Hongdao Road community] in May 2002, the family Committee of Ocean University of China was changed into Hongdao Road community. In 2004, Hongdao road and Dengzhou road were merged into Hongdao Road community. Located in the east of Ocean University of China. It is adjacent to Qixia Road community in the East, Yushan road and Jinkou Road community in the south, University Road in the West and Shibei District in the north. It covers an area of 0.6 square kilometers. At the end of 2005, the population was more than 8700. The residents are mainly the staff of Ocean University, No.1 National Institute of Oceanography and No.39 middle school.

[Jinkou Road community] in February 2001, Jinyi, Jiner and Jinsan neighborhood committees were merged into Jinkou Road community. Located in the northwest of Badaguan street. It is adjacent to XiaoYushan Park in the East, Huiquan Bay in the south, University Road in the West and Ocean University in the north. It covers an area of 0.85 square kilometers. At the end of 2005, the population was 6300 in 2070 households and there were 38 resident groups.

[Laiyang Road community] in February 2001, Laiyang road and Haiyang Road were merged into Laiyang Road community. It is located in the west of Badaguan street. It is adjacent to Wendeng road and Nanhai Road first bathing beach in the East, surrounded by the sea on both sides, and Jinkou Road community in the north. It covers an area of 0.6 square kilometers. At the end of 2005, the population was 5 883 in 1451 households. The neighborhood committee is located at 18 Laiyang road.

[Fushan Road community] in 2000, Fushan Branch Road and Fushan road were merged into Fushan Road community. It is located in the middle of Badaguan street. It is adjacent to Huiquan square in the East, the first bathing beach in the south, Jinkou Road community in the West and Qixia Road community in the north. By the end of 2005, the area under its jurisdiction was 0.3 square kilometers, with 1032 households and 3194 residents, 83 residential buildings and 20 residential groups.

Qixia Road community was changed from the neighborhood committee of the park to Qixia Road community in 2001. It is located in the middle of Badaguan street. At the end of 2005, the population was 3459.

Badaguan community was established in 1954, named after Badaguan scenic area. In January 2001, the two neighborhood committees of Wuchang road and Badaguan were merged into Badaguan community. It is adjacent to Hong Kong West Road in the East, surrounded by the sea on both sides, and connected to Huiquan square in Wendeng road in the north. The neighborhood committee is located at 7 Rongcheng road. At the end of 2005, the population was 3 978 in 1286 households, and there were 25 resident groups.

[taipingjiao community] the neighborhood committee was established in 1954, named after taipingjiao. In January 2001, it was changed to Tai Ping Kok community. It is located in the southeast of Badaguan street, adjacent to Donghai Road in the East, surrounded by the sea on both sides, and bordering Zhanshan street in the north. It covers an area of 1.95 square kilometers. At the end of 2005, the population was 5961 in 1987 households. The neighborhood committee is located at 3 Zhanshan road.

[Fotao Road community] was restructured from the family Committee of Beihai fleet in August 2004. Located in the northeast of Badaguan street. Taiping mountain in the north, taipingjiao neighborhood committee in the East and Hong Kong West Road in the south. It covers an area of 1.2 square kilometers. At the end of 2005, there were 3 360 people in 1 628 households and 32 resident groups.
