Nanyan Town, subordinate to Yiyang County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the south central part of Yiyang County, on the South Bank of Xinjiang River, adjacent to Hengfeng County in the East and Qianshan County in the south. The town covers an area of 121.18 square kilometers, with 22200 mu of arable land and 20400 mu of paddy field. Under the jurisdiction of 8 administrative villages, 2 communities, a total of 158 villager groups. In late 2018, the registered residence of Nan Yan town was 42 thousand and 400.

History of construction

In 1950, it belonged to Tangtong and other townships; in 1958, it belonged to Chengzhen, Shangyang, Nanyan and other communes; in 1961, it set up suburban communes; in 1984, it changed to township; in 2000, it changed to Nanyan town.
