Longyao town

Longyao Town, subordinate to Longyao County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the middle of Longyao County, adjacent to niuqiao Township in the East, Weizhuang town in the south, Shankou town in the west, DAZHANGZHUANG Township and Liuxing farm in the north. It is the resident of Longyao County People's government, with a total area of 81.56 square kilometers.

Since the Song Dynasty, Longyao town has been the administrative center of Longping County; in 1989, it was renamed Longyao town from Chengguan town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Longyao town was 100862. As of June 2020, Longyao town has 40 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and its people's government is located at 369 chairong street.

In 2018, there were 86 industrial enterprises in Longyao Town, including 12 Enterprises above Designated Size and 256 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

Since the Song Dynasty, Longyao town has been the seat of Longping county.

During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to the second and fourth districts of Longyao county.

In 1953, Chengguan Township was established.

In 1958, it was changed into Chengguan commune.

In July 1984, Chengguan commune was changed into Chengguan town.

In 1989, Chengguan town was renamed Longyao town.

In 1996, Baishe and Yaoshan townships were merged into Longyao town.
