Daifang town

Daifang Town, subordinate to Le'an County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northwest of Le'an County, adjacent to Huxi Township in the East, Lugang township of Yongfeng County in the west, Aoxi town in the South and Tanqiu township of Xingan County in the north. The town covers a total area of 254.93 square kilometers, with 50600 mu of arable land and 263100 mu of woodland. It governs one community, 20 administrative villages and 197 natural villages. In late 2018, Dai Fang town had 37 thousand registered residence population.

In Daifang Town, rice is the main food crop, tobacco is the main cash crop, including high-quality rice, medicinal materials, Dendrobium officinale, orchid, grape, gift watermelon, betel nut taro, Dictyophora, etc.; quail, hairy crab, cauliflower snake, turtle, crayfish, loach, honey, etc. By the end of 2018, there were 14 industrial enterprises and 19 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Daifang town.

Historical evolution

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was still called the fourth district; in 1958, Daifang people's commune was established; in 1984, the commune was withdrawn to build a township; in March 1985, it was changed to Daifang town. In 2001, Pengzhou township was merged into Daifang town.

Most of Daifang town is located in hilly area, surrounded by mountains. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The northwest mountains are undulating, and the southeast hills are connected. The highest point is in the main peak in the west, with an altitude of 569.9 meters, and the lowest point is in shaheping village group of Shuxia village committee, with an altitude of about 80 meters.
