RiFeng town

RiFeng Town, under the jurisdiction of Lichuan County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the east of Lichuan County, adjacent to Tanxi Township and Heyuan Township in the East, sheping Township and Desheng Township in the south, Long'an Township and Zhongtian Township in the west, and Nancheng County in the north. The town covers a total area of 197 square kilometers and governs 16 administrative villages and 12 communities. In late 2018, the town had 73 thousand and 700 registered residence population.

RiFeng town is the seat of Lichuan County. Its tourism resources mainly include ten thousand hectares of green waves, smart jade lake, winding ten Li old streets of Ming and Qing Dynasties and other famous scenic spots.

By the end of 2018, there were 306 industrial enterprises in RiFeng town and 102 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

According to the Tongzhi edition of Xincheng County annals of the Qing Dynasty, the Litan river passes through the town, hence its name. Since the Southern Song Dynasty, it has been the seat of the county government.

During the period of the Republic of China, it was called the new town, with 20 guarantees.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was renamed Chengguan District; in 1951, it was renamed Chengguan town; in 1958, it was renamed Chengguan Town People's commune; in 1968, it was renamed Hongqi Town; in 1971, it was renamed Chengguan town; in 1984, it was renamed RiFeng town; in November 2001, with the approval of Jiangxi Provincial People's government, the former Litang Township and Qiufang Township were incorporated into RiFeng town.
