New territories town is located in the South East of Shanggao County, adjacent to gaoanxiang town in the East, shangganshan forest farm in the west, Yeshi Township in the north, Mengshan Township and gaoantinan Township in the southwest, and Sixi town in the northeast. It has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages. The township government is stationed in jiebu.

The new territories town has the following areas under its jurisdiction: Hengjiang village, Zhoushang village, duifeng village, Chexi village, Xianfeng village, Guangming Village, Wanxi village, Zeshan village, Tongshan village, Fugang village, Wuxing village, Duanxi village, Chengpo village and Sanxing village.

In addition to the Jinjiang River is alluvial plain, are hilly. The highest point is Diaobao mountain, 239.4 meters above sea level, and the lowest point is Aijia village, 38 meters above sea level. Jinjiang River and Jinhui canal pass from west to East, about 15 kilometers long in the territory, and Mengshui river flows from southwest to northeast through the middle, about 13 kilometers long in the territory. The main natural disasters affecting agricultural production are the floods caused by Jinjiang River and Mengshui river. The territory has a humid climate with an average temperature of 17.7 ℃ and an annual precipitation of about 1700 mm. The rainfall is mainly concentrated in spring and summer. The natural conditions are good and suitable for the growth of various crops.

There are rich plant resources such as fir, pine and bamboo, wild animal resources such as pangolin and pheasant, mineral resources such as hematite, limestone and quartzite, and well-known pearl materials (also known as glaze and nameless).
