Feijiantan Township

Feijiantan township is a township under the jurisdiction of Yuanzhou District, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. It is located in the northwest border of Yuanzhou District, 52 kilometers away from the urban area. It is adjacent to nanmu Township and Jinrui town in the East, Tiantai town in the west, Liaoshi town in the South and Cihua town in the north. It belongs to hilly landform. There is a large national reservoir feijiantan reservoir in the territory. With an area of 86.7 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, 166 villager groups and a total population of 25377 (in 2019). Tourism and Camellia oleifera are the two major color industries in the township. Feijiantan reservoir is an important water source in Yichun city. Ganyu (yiliupian) is commonly used in the township, all of which belong to the Jiangyou ethnic group of the Han nationality.
