Heyuan Town, subordinate to Suichuan County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southern edge of Suichuan County. It is an important marginal town of Ji'an City and Jiangxi Province. The area is 106.90 square kilometers (2018), and the registered residence population is about 24 thousand and 400 (2018). It has 1 communities and 10 administrative villages (October 2019).

In 2018, Heyuan town had 13 industrial enterprises and 11 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

Because there are seven water systems originated in the southern mountains, it is called "Heyuan". In addition, the land is rich and the water is beautiful, the rice yield is high, and the rice seed quality is excellent, so it is renamed "Heyuan".

In 1956, Heyuan township was merged with Yantang Township, Huangbei Township, Huangxi Township and Sanxi township.

In 2001, the township was removed and the town was built.

Heyuan town is located in the southern edge of Suichuan County, adjacent to Nankang city in the East, Shangyou County in the south, and zuoan Town, Nanjiang Township, caolin Town, Zhutian Township and other towns in the rest. It is the intersection of two cities, three counties and seven towns. The town government is located in Heyuan village, 22 kilometers away from the county. The total land area is 106.90 square kilometers.

In 2015, the main agricultural products of Heyuan town were rice, tea oil, soybean milk, tea, seedlings, Chinese fir, etc. In 2006, we began to promote the development of "one village, one product" industry in poor villages, making full use of Heyuan's natural resources to develop such agricultural characteristic industries as Camellia oleifera planting, hybrid rice seed production, soybean milk processing and pig breeding. It has a high-quality and high-yield Camellia oleifera forest area of more than 50000 mu, more than 90% of which is involved in agriculture. It is one of the main production areas of Camellia oleifera in Suichuan County. The hybrid rice seed production area is more than 3000 mu, covering seven administrative villages, such as gutuan, Heyuan, Yantang, zakou, Fuxi, Sanxi and xiaohuangkeng. It is a hybrid rice seed production base in Jiangxi Province. It has established a professional soybean milk cooperative and more than 120 farmers. In 2015, the total grain output was 9219 tons, and the total agricultural output value was 81.92 million yuan.

Granite industry is the pillar industry of Heyuan town. In the mid-1990s, it successfully introduced foreign investment and development. In 2011, Heyuan town planned to build Heyuan granite building materials Industrial Park, with a total planning area of 500 mu. It is a non heavy metal mineral processing base approved by Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, known as the "south district" of Suichuan Industrial Park, and listed as a key construction project of Jiangxi Province in 2014. The first phase of the industrial park with an area of 200 mu has been completed and put into operation. In 2015, there were 7 enterprises settled in the park, and the main business income reached 105 million yuan. The second phase of the industrial park with an area of nearly 300 mu has completed the preliminary work such as land leveling, and 9 enterprises along the river and road have signed up for relocation. Heyuan town has 4 mining areas, 14 mining sites and 22 stone processing enterprises, with an annual output of 3 million square meters of plates and an output value of 120 million yuan.

Heyuan town is the transportation hub and trade logistics center in the southern border of Suichuan County. Keng (Kou) he (yuan) highway passes through heyuanxu town from Suiyuan (Sichuan) to GUI (line), and Heyuan to dianbei highway of Ziyang Township leads directly to Shangyou County of Ganzhou City.
