Dingjiang town is located in the middle of Jishui County, adjacent to Baishui town in the East, Shuinan town in the south, Wujiang town in the West and Bajiang Township in Yongfeng County in the north. Dingjiangwei Town, where the town government is located, is 22 kilometers away from the county seat, with a total area of 129.8 square kilometers.

Dingjiang town is a hilly area, the terrain inclines from northeast to southwest, with many hills in the northeast, relatively gentle in the middle, and terrace of Enjiang River Valley in the north.
