Baying Township

Baying Township, subordinate to Ruijin City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southwest of Ruijin City, adjacent to Changting and Wuping counties of Fujian Province in the East, Fucheng town and wenwuba town of Huichang County in the south, Xiefang town in the west, and Wuyang town and Zeqin Township in the north, with a total area of 223 square kilometers. In late 2018, the registered residence population in the village was 12 thousand and 600. As of October 2019, baying township has 8 administrative villages and 102 villager groups. The township government is located in dafuwei.

Famous people

Zhang Yinggui (1883-1934), a member of Xiaoshui village, Guiqing village, baying township. From 1931 to October 1934, he served as deputy head of Xinjing District of the Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic in Ruijin. He was murdered by the enemy in 1934.

Xie Gaiqing (1893-1934) was born in Jigong village, Dafu village, baying township. From 1931 to October 1934, he served as the chairman of jigongzhai farmers association in Xinjing district. October 13, 1934. His wife fan Changxiu was killed in November of the same year at the age of 38.

Zeng Ba Ying (1896-1931), named Tongchun and named Cuisheng, was born in Ba Ying Village, Ba Ying township. He graduated from Ningdu provincial middle school and was a member of the Communist Party of China. He was one of the early revolutionary leaders in Ruijin county. He once taught in Beiguan and Chucai primary schools in Ruijin county. He joined the revolution in 1927 and served as member of the Ruijin County Committee, member of the Standing Committee and Secretary General of the CPC in June of the same year. In July, he attended the first Soviet Congress of workers, peasants and soldiers in Ruijin county and was elected chairman of the Congress; he was one of the seven presidium members of the Soviet government in Ruijin county. He died in Ruijin in August 1931.
