Historical evolution

Wenwuba Town, formerly known as wenwuba Township, was established in 1997. In October 2001, with the approval of the Provincial Department of civil affairs, the former Xiangjiang town was merged into wenwuba town to establish a new wenwuba town. It is the seat of the county's party and government organs and the political, economic, cultural and traffic center of Huichang county.
