Pingfu Township

Pingfu Township, subordinate to Shangyou County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located on the southwest edge of Shangyou County, adjacent to Yingqian town in the East, Jieba Township and Jinkeng township of Chongyi County in the south, and wuzhifeng Township in the West and North. It covers a total area of 88 square kilometers, and has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages (including 2 ethnic villages) and 141 villager groups. In late 2018, Ping Fu Township had 13 thousand registered residence population.

Historical evolution

In the tenth year of Baoda (952), Pingfu was located in Shangyou County.

In the Qing Dynasty, Pingfu pass was set up.

During the second Civil Revolutionary War, it belonged to the first district; on the eve of liberation, it was Pingfu township.

In 1958, it belonged to wuzhifeng reclamation farm; in 1961, it set up Pingfu commune; in 1984, it changed to Pingfu township.
