Egret Township, Ganxian District, Ganzhou, Jiangxi, is located in the north of Ganxian District, adjacent to Yongfeng Township in Xingguo County and northeast, and in TIANLIAN Town, south of Lian county. West of the county is Jiantian Township, with a total area of 91.68 square kilometers. Historical evolution
During the period of agrarian revolution, it was the Soviet Area and had been stationed in the military region of Jiangxi Province and the South Road sub committee of the southwest special committee of Jiangxi Province.
On the eve of liberation, it was the seventh, eighth and ninth Bao of Yulu Township and the tenth Bao of Liangkou township of Wan'an county.
At the beginning of liberation, it was Bailu, Jiangou and Longtou Township in Tiancun district; in 1958, it merged with Tiancun township to form the Soviet people's commune (later changed to Tiancun people's commune); in 1962, Bailu people's commune was set up from Tiancun township; in 1968, it was merged into Tiancun people's commune; in 1972, Bailu people's commune was restored; in 1984, it was changed to establish township.

Red Culture

Intangible cultural heritage
Donghe opera, originally known as Ganzhou opera, is a combination of Gaoqiang, Kunqiang and Luantan tunes. It originated in Tiancun, Bailu, Qingxi, Laotian in Ganxian county and Mubu in Xingguo County.
In June 2008, Donghe opera was listed in the second batch of intangible cultural heritage list of Jiangxi Province.

Bailu ancient village is located in the center of Bailu township. The ancient village is close to mountains and rivers. It is distributed in crescent shape along Luxi river. It is about 1 km long from east to west, 0.5 km wide from north to south, and covers an area of about 0.5 square kilometers. There are 238 ancient buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties preserved in the village, known as "Living Museum of ancient buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties", among which 4 ancestral halls are listed as provincial cultural relics protection units.
Bailu ancient village has been honored as "famous historical and cultural village of China", "national agricultural tourism demonstration site", "rural tourism demonstration site of Jiangxi Province" and "film and television shooting base of Ganzhou TV station".
