Yanjiao Township

Yanjiao township is located in the south of the county, about 110km away from the county seat. It faces Huanghua township of Yongshan County in Yunnan Province across Jinsha River in the East, Xiangling township of Jinyang County in the south, the tail of baicaopo in the West and Yuanbaoshan Township in the north. On June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Yanjiao township.

economic development

Agriculture mainly produces corn and potato. The main economic trees are Zanthoxylum bungeanum, Ligustrum lucidum and Rhus verniciflua.

there are two streams in the territory. One is the hot water river. There are hot springs in the river. The water temperature is higher than other rivers, so it is called the hot water river. One is the stinky river. It is said that if the water in the river is put in a bucket overnight, it will stink, so it is called the stinky river. The original residence of Yanjiao township is called "Waji", which is a Yi language. It means Yanxia (or Yanjiao) in Chinese.
