The origin of the name
Chutanwei is named because it is close to Chushan, adjacent to Ganjiang River and on the Bank of Jiangwan. It turns the river water rapidly and whirls into a vortex, forming a Ditan. What it rushes into is whirled into a reservoir pool. Built in the Jiayu period of the Northern Song Dynasty, the bajingtai in Ganzhou, one of the eight mirrors, chutanxiaojing, is recorded because the Ganjiang River flows through the Chujiang River and the water is clear. According to the dictionary of ancient and modern place names in China, Zhu Wei, a historian of the Jin Dynasty, set up a temple for the emperor. From then on, the boat came to dock, and merchants and believers from all over the world gathered to worship and gradually became a Polder town.
