Xiling Township, belonging to Pingnan County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the south southeast of Pingnan County, adjacent to Daixi town in the East, Gutian County in the south, Tongping town in the northwest, Gantang Township in the West and Tangkou Township in the north, with an area of 103.18 square kilometers. In 2005, it had 16 village committees, 149 villager groups and 4027 households. In 2017, there were 8119 permanent residents in Xiling township.

In 2000, the simple farmers' market along the street was demolished and 210 square meters of illegal building were cleared. In 2001, the stone steps and government office buildings in front of the township government were built, covering an area of 515 square meters. In 2005, the concrete pavement of central street was resurfaced, 600 meters long and 6 meters wide. By the end of 2005, all 16 administrative villages of Xiling Township had opened roads, program-controlled telephone and cable TV networks, and connected with the county for power supply. Tap water was installed in 11 of them.
