Daixi town

Daixi Town, subordinate to Pingnan County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the southeast of Pingnan County, adjacent to Jiaocheng District in the East, Gutian County in the south, Xiling Township in the west, Tangkou Township and Shoushan Township in the north, covering an area of 183.42 square kilometers. In 2005, it has jurisdiction over 22 village committees, 307 villager groups and 6903 households. In 2017, there were 14513 permanent residents in Daixi town.

In 2005, Daixi town had a total agricultural output value of 73.14 million yuan, 14 industrial enterprises and a total industrial output value of 54.25 million yuan. In 2017, there were 81 enterprises in Daixi town with 836 employees, including 32 industrial enterprises and 5 large-scale enterprises. On July 29, 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Daixi town as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.

Since 1992, Daixi town has made great efforts to develop the fruit planting industry while focusing on the grain and edible fungus planting industry. It has successively established fruit planting bases such as seedless persimmon in Enyang, Younai in Shanxi, navel orange in Yangdi, waxberry and chestnut in xiecuo.

In 1995, Daixi town established a green food production base in high altitude Tianhu mountain to develop Off-season Cultivation of radish, cauliflower, cabbage and other vegetables. Subsequently, the off-season vegetable planting area rapidly expanded to xiecuo, zhoucuo, Yuyang and other villages.

In 2005, Daixi town paved the concrete pavement from the gate of the raw grain station to Nanyang Main Street, with a length of 1.1 km and a width of 7 m, to expand new commercial and residential areas. The pavilion of shuixinting Park, the medical building of health center and the landfill of market town will be built. By the end of 2005, all 22 administrative villages in Daixi town had opened roads and program-controlled telephones, and connected with the county for power supply. Tap water was installed in 15 administrative villages, of which 11 villages had achieved village road hardening of more than 34 thousand meters.
