Chencun Hui nationality township
Chencun Hui nationality township is one of the only two nationality townships in Handan city. It is located in the southwest of Qiuxian County, the old road of the Yellow River and Zhanghe River, and the upstream of Heilonggang basin. It borders Qiucheng town in the East and south, Xinmatou town in the north, and Quzhou County in the West. It covers an area of 11.24 square kilometers, with an altitude of 37.0-37.3 meters. It is plain and flat. The old Zhanghe River runs through the West and the main canal runs through the south in the East. It has jurisdiction over 5 administrative villages with 6108 permanent residents (in 2017) and 12975 mu of cultivated land. The climate belongs to the sub humid continental monsoon climate in the North warm temperate zone with four distinct seasons.

Chencun Hui Township is located in the southwest of Qiuxian County, which is named after the township government in Chencun. It borders Qiucheng town in the East and south, Xinmatou town in the north, Huaiqiao Township and Houcun town in Quzhou County in the West. It is 10 kilometers away from the county. There are 1462 households with a population of 6558, 257 party members and 18 village groups. The maximum distance between East and West is 3 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 4 km, covering a total area of 12 square kilometers.
Evolution of organizational system
Chen village is a village built by the Ming Dynasty. The original village is located on the East Bank of laozhanghe river. Because of the flood, the village was submerged in sediment, so the reconstructed village is called "Chen Village", and later evolved into Chen village. In Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Fuchun township. At the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to Chencun Township, Fuchun district. During the Anti Japanese War, it belonged to one district and then three districts. In April 1953, Chen Village Hui Autonomous township was established. In 1956, it belonged to Qiucheng. In 1958, the county was merged into Quzhou County, belonging to Qiucheng commune of Quzhou County. In March 1962, it belonged to Qiucheng commune of Qiuxian county. In 1984, it was transferred to Qiucheng town. On April 29th, 1984, Qiucheng town was divided into Chen Village and Hui village.

Cattle and sheep slaughtering and processing industry is the leading industry. It has formed an industrial economic pattern with reasonable division of labor, complementary advantages, coordinated development and complete set-up. There are 42 Muslim meat companies, meat factory, bone meal factory, cold storage and other enterprises, and more than 900 farmers engaged in the leading industry and related industries. Cattle and sheep products have been exported to many countries and regions, and occupy a large market share in some large and medium-sized cities in China. Annual slaughter of cattle and sheep exceeded 800000 (head); commercial meat exceeded 6000 tons; purchase and sale of fur exceeded 1 million. Chencun mosque, built in 1577 (the fifth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty), is a "kerbai" style, located in the center of the village, with 18 main halls and 17 other rooms.
There are five main halls, three North lecture halls, one water room and one gatehouse in Chencun Muslim women's temple.
