Historical evolution

In the Ming Dynasty, it was Baitu, Xiaokeng, Xikeng of Dongkeng community in nanbiaozhenli, Tieshi Township, and gutianyang village in the southern suburb of the city. From the Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China, it was the whole territory of Dongxiao society. From June 1929 to December 15 of the following year, and from April 10 to October 17 of the 21st year, the Soviet government of Dongxiao district was established, which governed 12 townships. In the 22nd year of the Republic of China, it merged with Huangfang into Donghuang District, with five townships, LongQian, Xisheng, Xiyuan, Xixing and Yongan. The next year is the Fifth District. In March of the 26th year of the Republic of China, it belonged to the second district and set up a white clay office, which was designated as the joint protection of Yongan, Xisheng, Xiyuan, Qiantan, LongQian and Xixing townships. In November 1949, it was Zhongmin village, Yangtan village, LiuTian village, Xidou village and Longquan Village in Donghong district. In February 1950, Dongxiao district was set up, with jurisdiction over Zhongmin Town, Xisheng Township, LiuTian Township, Longquan Township and Yangtan township. In 1956, it was divided into Zhongmin, Yangtan and LiuTian townships, belonging to the attached urban area. In 1957, Dongxiao township (directly under the county) was established. Dongxiao commune was established in 1958. In 1959, Hongfang commune was merged into Dongxiao commune, and in the next year, it was merged into suburban commune, and Dongxiao management area was set up. The total agricultural output value in 2011 was 105 million yuan. The traditional food crops were rice, wheat, sweet potato and soybean.
