Zhishan street is located in the north of Jian'ou City, Fujian Province. In May 1996, Zhishan Street office was officially listed. It has jurisdiction over three villages, namely Xida, Haodong and Mawen, and 10 neighborhood committees, including Fushan, Linjiang, guanpu, shangxihe, duyuping, Yancang, Lishan, Xianqian, chaoming and Qingyun, 29 villagers' groups, 135 residents' groups and 46137 people (2010).

Historical evolution

Zhishan street has a long history. As early as 5000 years ago, our ancestors lived and multiplied in this rich and beautiful land. Jian'an county was established in the first year of Jian'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 196), and Jian'an county was established in the third year of Wu Yong'an in the Three Kingdoms (AD 260). During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Haodong village dug a pond to raise fish, which became one of the birthplaces of freshwater fish culture in Jian'ou. Zhishan street is famous for its scenic spots and historic sites. Weiwumen, Linjiangmen and Chaotianmen were built in 1369. In the third year of song Chunxi (1175), Zhu Xi dug a well in front of the former Jian'an academy, named "Genquan". The former site of the Minbei temporary Committee of the Communist Party of China, located at No.7 Wuli, chengguanxu, was established in the 16th year of the Republic of China (August 1927), and opened to the public on July 1st, 1986. It is now a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit.
