Zhishan town is a town under the jurisdiction of Xiangcheng District of Zhangzhou city. Historical evolution
In the Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Minzhong County; in the first year of Yuanfeng (110 BC) of Han Dynasty, it belonged to Kuaiji County; in the early years of Jian'an, it belonged to Houguan County; in the Three Kingdoms, it belonged to Dongan County; in the third year of Taikang (282 BC), it belonged to Jin'an county. In the fourth year of Qiande of Song Dynasty (966), Nanzhou was renamed Zhangzhou, which belonged to Longxi County of Zhangzhou.

On September 19, 1949, Longxi County was liberated; on September 20, Longxi County was liberated. On May 14, 1985, with the approval of the State Council, the administrative office of Longxi district was abolished on July 20, and Zhangzhou city was upgraded to a prefecture level city. On September 21, the original organizational system of Zhangzhou city was changed into Xiangcheng District (named after Xixi of Jiulongjiang River, also known as Xiangjiang River).
