Historical evolution

Tang Dynasty belongs to the North regiment of Tingzhou Prefecture.

Laifang town is located in the southeast of Qingliu County, adjacent to shawu Township and Tianyuan Township in the north, Lingdi town in the west, Li Township in the South and Luofang Township in Yong'an City in the East. It is 56 kilometers away from Qingliu County, covering an area of 108.82 square kilometers.

Laifang town is surrounded by mountains, with a duck egg shaped basin in the middle. Qipanshan, the highest mountain in the county, is 1705.7 meters above sea level. The main mountain peaks are 1438 meters of Gaoling Tianbao mountain, 1150 meters of lukengjiao, 1369 meters of douziban, etc.

There is only one stream winding through the village committees of Guanfang, Chenjia, Lai'an, Laiwu, Nanshan and Dongshan. The major water conservancy projects include yangkeng reservoir (with water storage of 5.95 million cubic meters), Yaojia reservoir (with water storage of 150000 cubic meters) and Jinjishan reservoir (with water storage of 105000 cubic meters), with 8160 mu of irrigated farmland. Qinyuan reservoir, the largest reservoir in Qingliu County, started construction in 1975. It is located in Qinyuan village, with a storage capacity of 12.2 million cubic meters. It can irrigate more than 19700 mu of cultivated land in Laifang, Lijia, Lingdi and Dengjia towns.

Its main agricultural products include high-quality rice, red peanut, mountain watermelon, small garlic, alpine tea, tea seed oil, cherry blossom, etc. According to the data in 2018, Laifang town has initially formed seven characteristic agricultural industries with an annual output of 11000 mu of tea, 9000 mu of Camellia oleifera, 8500 mu of seedlings and flowers, 5000 mu of peanuts, 5000 mu of flue-cured tobacco, 15 million jin of eggs and 1000 tons of eel.

History and culture

In 2007, Laifang township was rated as a provincial historical and cultural Township by Fujian provincial government; in 2008, Laifang village was rated as a Chinese historical and cultural village by the Ministry of housing and urban rural development and the Bureau of cultural relics. The Hakka customs such as lion dragon club, Laifang martial arts, pendulum five directions, walking ancient things, and folk arts such as traditional lantern, horse lantern, dragon lantern have been well continued in this area. The rich historical and cultural relics and simple folk landscape are fresh specimens to study the development, inheritance, evolution and evolution of Hakka culture in Northwest Fujian. The Lai family in Laifang is a famous Hakka Family in Western Fujian. It is known as the hometown of "two Jinshi in one family, five Juren in one house" and "worship ancestors in eighteen blue clothes".

Laifang town has an ancient street area of about 150000 square meters. Dafeng Mountain Forest Park

Dafeng mountain forest park is a provincial forest park, covering an area of 2681 hectares. It has its own advantages in peak, cliff, ridge, terrace, stone and cave. Spring, pool, waterfall, stream, stream and lake have their own styles. It is rich in animal and plant resources. It is a famous plant kingdom and animal world. Dafeng mountain Qipan peak is 1706 meters above sea level, the highest peak in Qingliu County. Laifang ancient dwellings

Laifang ancient dwellings are located in Laiwu village and Laian village. The village has more than 40 ancient dwellings built in Ming and Qing Dynasties, scattered in the deep mountains, known as the "living fossil" of village architecture. The original layout of the whole village remains intact, continuing the layout of Zhenwu street, loufangxia street and zhenanmen street, with many lanes and alleys as branches. Located in Nanshan village of Laifang Town, Laifang Mahalanobis ancestral hall is a ancestral hall built in the middle of Ming Dynasty. It worships Ma FaLong, the first ancestor of Fujian Mahalanobis. According to textual research, Ma Yingjiu, the former leader of Taiwan, is the 32nd generation descendant of Ma FaLong. His ancestors lived in Nanshan for five generations and then moved to Hengyang, Hunan Province. Matsu ancestral hall in Nanshan of Laifang has been approved by Fujian Provincial People's government as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit and the seventh batch of provincial-level key cultural relic protection units. Nanshan Ma ancestral hall is surrounded by the world's first ancient Zhangwang, Sun Moon Lake, ancient stage, Jiulong temple and other attractions.

Yaojia cherry forest in Laifang town

Yaojia cherry planting base in Laifang town covers an area of more than 700 mu, integrating cherry cultivation, planting, leisure and tourism, and rural tourism development. There are 30000 cherry trees planted in the base, including pink beauty, yangmingshanying, Dadao cherry, bazhongying, peony cherry and so on. Dafeng Mountain Ecotourism Area

Dafeng Mountain Ecotourism Area is an undeveloped pure natural ecotourism area with a mid subtropical monsoon climate, with a maximum altitude of 1705 meters. It has the key protected precious plants in Fujian Province, such as Tsuga longibracteata, Fagaceae, Fujian cherry blossom, Cyclobalanopsis glauca, etc., as well as the national protected wild animals and plants, such as Phoebe bournei, camphor tree, white necked long tailed pheasant. Tiger frog, Sumen antelope, big civet, etc. There are more than 20 scenic spots in the mountain, such as turtle dialogue, hidden dragon and crouching tiger, reclining Buddha, qililin, Guantai, wangri peak, Qipan peak, LanNiu stone, Tudi temple and Yingke pine.
