Hot spring area

Haidian District of Beijing is under the jurisdiction of towns (districts). Located in the northwest of the District, 12.8km away from the district government. At the end of 2017, it covers an area of 3323 hectares and has a population of 61297. It governs 10 communities and 7 administrative villages. The town government is located in the north of Baijiatuan Village. There are monuments to the revolutionary martyrs of luanzhou in 1911, cliff carvings and the Dragon King Temple in Heilongtan.

Historical evolution

In March 1956, Wenquan township was established. In 1958, it was divided into Haidian District and merged into Yongfeng commune. In April 1961, Wenquan commune was established. In April 1984, Wenquan commune was transformed into a township. In May 1997, Wenquan commune was established. In 1996, it covers an area of 32.3 square kilometers and has a population of 22000. It has jurisdiction over 12 village (neighborhood) committees, including gaolizhang, Xinzhuang, Wenquan, Baijiatuan, Yangjiazhuang, Taizhouwu, dongbutou, wenquanju, Taizhouwu and chest hospital. At the end of 2002, the area was 33.1 square kilometers, with 21298 registered residence, including 10184 agricultural population, 10719 temporary residents, 7 villages under the jurisdiction of Bai Jia Tuan, Wenquan, Yang Jia Zhuang, Tai Zhou Wu, Gao Li Zhang, Dong Bu tou and Xin Zhuang village, 10 residential committees. in November 2011, Wenquan Town officially set up a regional office.
