Yongzhen Township

Yongzhen Township belongs to Yongqiao District, Suzhou City, Anhui Province. It is the South Gate of Suzhou City and Yongqiao district. It is located at the junction of two counties and one district (Huaiyuan County, Guzhen county and Yongqiao District). It borders Huaiyuan County in the South and Guzhen County in the East. Hefei Xuzhou Expressway and national highway 206 pass through the territory from north to south. It is 10 kilometers away from Baoji entrance of HeXu expressway in the South and 32 kilometers away from Suzhou City in the north, so the traffic is convenient.

Infrastructure

Yongzhen township was formed in January 1992 by the merger of Yongzhen Township and Fangdian Township in Daying District of Yuansu County, with seven administrative villages. The total area is 88 square kilometers, including 57000 mu of arable land. By the end of 2008, there were 2 junior middle schools, 10 primary schools, 234 teachers and staff, and more than 3400 students. The enrollment rate of school-age children was 100%, and the "two bases" passed the national acceptance. There were 1 township level Central Health Center, 1 prevention and Protection Center, 17 village level clinics, 65 beds, 67 medical staff, and 95% of the new rural cooperative medical insurance rate.

It belongs to the warm temperate semi humid monsoon agricultural climate zone, with four distinct seasons and pleasant climate. Yongzhen township has fertile land and rich agricultural and sideline products. It is rich in high-quality peanut, virus-free potato and high-quality tobacco. It is the main tobacco production base in Yongqiao district. Yonghua brand peanut is well-known in Northern Anhui.
