Caimiao town is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Taihe County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province, China. The largest distance between East and West is 7.5 km, and the largest distance between North and south is 11.5 km, covering a total area of 36.16 square kilometers.
Historical evolution
Cai temple is an ancient rural market with honest folk customs. It is said that there is an ancient temple in Ji'nan, which was built by the surname Cai, so it is called Cai family temple, which is called Cai temple for short. In March 1992, the former Caimiao Township and Caoji Township were merged into Caimiao Town, and the town government was located in caimiaoji. in the early years of the Republic of China, caijiamiao was a small town in the countryside, belonging to the Fifth District of caijiamiaopuo. In the late years of the Republic of China, it belonged to Dahuang District, which was called caimiaoji. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Cai temple was successively divided into Gaomiao district and ShuiHuang district. In 1950, it was also assigned to Shuangfu district. In caimiaoji, Caimiao District, Caimiao agricultural production cooperative, Lianfeng cooperative and people's commune were successively established. In the winter of 1979, the Caimiao District Office was established, and the new Caimiao District Committee of the Communist Party of China was established. In 1992, the district was withdrawn and the township merged, and Caimiao town was established.
