Xijian street is under the jurisdiction of Langya District, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province.

Street profile

Langya District of Chuzhou City governs the streets. It is located in the west of the District, adjacent to Shahe Town in the north, Zhulong town in the West and Shiji Town in the south. The permanent resident population is 26672 (the sixth census in 2010).

Historical evolution

In 1984, Baian and Shima villages in Chengjiao Township were merged into Nanqiao township. In 1992, ChenWan and Yanhe villages in Chudong Township were merged into Nanqiao street. In 1996, Nanqiao street, with an area of 12.5 square kilometers and a population of 10000, governed five village committees of Chengguan, Baian, Shima, ChenWan and Yanhe; suburban township, with an area of 81.3 square kilometers and a population of 16000, governed ten village committees and one neighborhood committee of Chenying, taiping'an, Shiying, Huqiao, Shanglin, Guanshan, Guanzhuang, Chengxi and Zhongying. In 2007, suburban towns were abolished and merged into Nanqiao street. On May 13, 2010, Nanqiao Street (4 communities and 7 villages, covering an area of 83.67 square kilometers and a population of 33500 people) in Nanqiao district was put under the jurisdiction of Langya district and renamed Xijian street. The neighborhood office is still located at No.1 Xijian road. In the same year, Sanguan community and dengba, Xinji and Qiutong villages in Shahe Town of Nanqiao district (the original administrative area of sanguanji Township, about 35 square kilometers) were entrusted to Xijian street of Langya district. the former sanguanji township has two townships, Sanguan and Xinji. Sanguan commune was established in 1958, the township was changed in 1983, and sanguanji township was established in 1995. In 1996, it covers an area of 35.3 square kilometers and has a population of 10000. It governs seven administrative villages, namely Sanguan, dengba, sanlitang, Jiangmiao, Guandi, Xinji and Qiutong. In 2007, sanguanji township was abolished and merged into Shahe Town.
