Qianpu Town, belonging to Zongyang County, Tongling City, Anhui Province, is located in the northeast of Zongyang County and the upstream of chenyao lake water system. It is a low and shallow mountain area with good vegetation coverage. The highest altitude in the territory is 674.9 meters (Sangong mountain), and the lowest is only 18.9 meters. Zhoutan town in the East, Baimei Township in the west, hengbu town in the south, Lujiang and Wuwei counties in the north.

With a total area of 67.41 square kilometers, the town has 9 administrative villages, 105 villager groups and a population of more than 28000 (2017).

Qianpu town is a subtropical monsoon climate zone with four distinct seasons and moderate rainfall. It has high temperature but not very hot in summer, low temperature but not very cold in winter, humid in spring and cool in autumn. The annual average temperature is 17 ℃, the frost free period is 250 days, and the annual average rainfall is 1300 mm. The soil is slightly and moderately acidic, the dry land is mostly on the hillside of 25 degree, the paddy field is mostly distributed in the fan area, which is suitable for planting rice, potato, rape, wheat and a few cotton and other crops; the mountain farm is mainly timber forest, and the area of fruit forest is relatively small, which is suitable for the development of animal husbandry and fruit forestry such as pig, cattle and sheep. Qianpu town is located at the junction of Zongyang, Wuwei and Lujiang counties, with a total area of 68.2 square kilometers, including 67199 mu of mountain farm area, nearly 30 forestry farms, and more than 1500 mu of tea garden area. In tea production, it has formed famous brands such as "qigun", "Longjing" and "Yunwu". In order to realize large-scale production, improve economic benefits and promote the development of local characteristic economy, the township party committee and government decided to take the development of tea production as the top priority of forestry development in Qianpu Township, and organized the implementation of low yield tea garden transformation, new tea garden construction and tea deep processing project construction step by step.
