Heyedi Street

Heyedi street is located in the east of Hefei new administrative and Cultural District, Anhui Province. It is said that this place was a market town in ancient times, surrounded by rivers and ponds. Villagers like to plant lotus roots. In midsummer, lotus flowers bloom into a scene, which is later known as "the market in Heyedi", and the long-standing name is "Heyedi".

With an area of 6.21 square kilometers, it governs 6 communities, including Jinhe community, Repulse Bay community, Arc de Triomphe community, hongsifang community, Jiaheyuan community and lvyiju community, with a population of 44102 (2010).

Historical evolution

In April 2004, Heyedi sub district office was established, under the construction headquarters of the new administrative and cultural zone. In May 2007, the sub district office was under the jurisdiction of Shushan district.
