Dadongba people's government is located in dadongba village, 22 kilometers southwest of Songyang county. It is adjacent to Xiangxi town in the East, Yunhe town in the south, Yuyan town in the West and Xiping town in the north. With convenient transportation, superior natural environment such as geography and climate, rich landscape resources, more than ten small hydropower stations have been built. The main economic crops are Cuiguan pear, Lentinus edodes, bamboo shoot dual-purpose forest, tea, citrus, chestnut, corn, sericulture, watermelon, silkworm pea, etc. In 2003, the total rural economic income of the whole town reached 70.94 million yuan, and the per capita income of farmers reached 2640 yuan. Xiaogangyuan is located in the south of the county. It is the largest tributary of SONGYIN river. It originates from the south of laohugao village, Fengping Township in the southwest. The stream flows from the southwest to the northeast and flows into Songyin River in Gangkou village, Xishan village, dadongba town. There are 26 main tributaries along the route, with a flow path of 63 km, a catchment area of 497 square km, a natural drop of 865 m, and a river width of 50-150 m during flood period in the middle and lower reaches.

With convenient transportation, Gangyu highway (Port - Yuyan) and Xiajin highway (XiaZhai Street - Jincun) run through the whole town.

Historical evolution

In the eighth year of Shunzhi (1654) of Qing Dynasty, it was called Yifeng township. In 1928, it was the Fifth District of Songyang county. In 1934-1936, shicang, Baibu, hengzhang, wubu and Anmin townships were set up; in August 1952, shicang was removed and merged into Jingju district; in 1958, Hongxing commune management committee was set up to administer shicang, Wendong and hengzhang production teams; in April 1959, it was changed into shicang commune; in January 1962, shicang, Wendong and hengzhang communes were merged into shicang commune directly under the county. In November 1983, the commune was set up as a township, shicang commune was abolished, dadongba district was set up, and Gehu, Anmin, shicang and dadongba townships were set up; in May 1992, shicang, dadongba and Gehu townships were merged into dadongba town.

Baifeng village is located in dadongba District of dadongba Town, 22 kilometers away from the county seat. It is just next to the village in the center of the town, with beautiful scenery. Xiaogang River Valley flows quietly by the village. Next to the stream lie the "lion seizes the embroidered ball" mountain and Qilin mountain, which are far away from Baifeng village. The village has a population of 287 people, divided into four villager groups, 82 households and 211 labor force. It is composed of three natural villages, namely Baifeng village and chiyukeng village. The village has 3846 mu of mountainous area, 145 mu of arable land, 48 mu of tea planting area, 65 mu of cantaloupe, 157 mu of orchard and 210000 bags of Lentinus edodes. Due to the influence of traditional farming culture and sufficient land area per capita, edible fungi is the leading industry in the village. There are not many business workers and no industrial enterprises in the village. In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers was 6233 yuan. The annual fixed income of village level collective economy is only 5000 yuan of ecological public welfare forest. The village level collective fixed assets include 800 Mu contiguous Chinese fir field with 15 years old and 40 square meters of village office. Village level organizations are sound, standardized and strong. At present, the village has four "two committees" cadres, including one branch committee, three village committees and nine party members. Under the leadership of the cadres of the "two committees" of the village, the tap water of Baifeng natural village was installed in 2004, and the mechanized road of chiyukeng natural village was built; in 2005, the pavement of the 3-meter-wide flood control dam was repaired, and the restoration project of the 1500 meter wide channel was completed; in 2006, the village office building was completed, which solved the problem of no office space, and hardened the pavement of the village center road.
