Historical records
The Northern Song Dynasty "Yuanfeng jiuyu Zhi" (Note 2) contains: "Shangxian Jinyun, ZhouChu 110 Li northeast, Wuxiang (Wan'an, Jingfu, Guanzheng, Xiandu, Meihua), Huchen town." This "Hu Chen" - town refers to today's Hu town. At that time, Chuzhou Prefecture was in charge of six counties (Lishui, Longquan, Songyang, Suichang, Jinyun and Qingtian). Only Hu Chen of Jinyun and Jiu Long of Lishui County were the "towns" in the "town" system. The neighboring Wuzhou Prefecture governs seven counties, of which only Jinhua County has "Xiaoshun town". Therefore, Huchen, Jiulong and Xiaoshun are the three ancient towns in central and southern Zhejiang. The above information shows that the number of "towns" in Tang and Song Dynasties is indeed small; it is not difficult to imagine that in ancient times, a place must have a long period of difficult development if it wants to be bred into a market town; and it is irrefutable proof that Huzhen has been a developed and prosperous ancient town and important town since ancient times. As a millennium old town, Huzhen has accumulated a strong history and culture, and there was a market in the Tang Dynasty. There are a thousand year old ancient road, Jiusong temple built in Wuyue period, Huiming temple and meihua Academy in Song Dynasty, Ruan Gongdian Jiangtai and shangshufang in Ming Dynasty, Chongzheng academy monument in Qing Dynasty and other ancient buildings, which show the past glory of Huzhen.
name
Why did Huzhen ancient town begin to be called "Huchen"? The village is named after the family name, which has been common since ancient times. There are 134 villages in Jinyun County, accounting for one tenth of the total number of villages in the county. It is said that the name of "Hu Chen" town was also named because the two clans of "Hu" and "Chen" lived here at that time, which should be believed. Huzhen, where the place name has been changed, still has "huzhaikou" (there is "Zhaikou", there should be a bigger "huzhaikou"), "Huchuan", "tangzhaichen" and other village names, which can also explain this problem from one side. However, the existing explanations on the origin of the name of Huchen should be corrected. in the local materials, the earliest origin of the name of "Hu Chen" is Jinyun County annals in the 23rd year of Kangxi, in which the section of "Liuyu" contains: "Hu Sen, the word Yunlin, from Suzhou, Ren WuJie, the first general in Southeast China. He moved from Gaozong to Meihua township of Jinyun (today's Hu Town, Yanling Township, Baizhu Township, Lengshui Town, Renchuan town and Shuangfeng township of Pan'an County), where the Chen family moved together at that time, and was named Huchen because of his name. " From this passage, we can see the origin of Hu Chen's town name at a glance, but if we compare it with other materials, we can see that it is wrong. "Gaozong's southward journey" was in 1129, the third year of Jianyan in the Southern Song Dynasty. Yuanfeng jiuyu Zhi was published in 1080, the third year of Yuanfeng. Therefore, it was pointed out in the section of "distinguishing mistakes" in Jinyun County annals published in the 29th year of Daoguang (1849) " There are five townships Huchen town in Jinyun County of Chuzhou. According to this, the famous town of "Hu Chen" has been established in the Northern Song Dynasty, not since Hu Sen's exile. " Hu Sen (958-1030) is a senior official of martial arts. He passed by huangbi in Jinyun, where he heard that the tiger in fenggongling hurt people. His wife, Chen, was shocked, so he lived in huangbi Dongshan. He was the first ancestor of Hu's family to move to Jin in Dongshan Hu Sen passed away in 1030. It can be seen that Hu's family moved to Jinyun in Dongshan before the publication of Yuanfeng jiuyu annals, but he lived in huangbi Dongshan (the second capital of Wan'an Township in ancient times, and now in Xinbi Yu area), rather than beautifying the township. The descendants of Husen did move to the present Huzhen area later, but that was after the fourth generation. In addition, the Chen family of Huchen town moved in, which is recorded in Jinyun surname annals: "gongze's ancient name is tangzhaichen In the first year of Jiayou (1056), Shi Cong (the third son of Chen Zhizhong, Prime Minister of Renzong Dynasty in the Northern Song Dynasty) took his family to Meihua township of Jinyun. Hearing that the place had the word "Mei", he settled in Keng Kan TOU (now on the Yangzhai bridge in Huzhen). as mentioned above, in ancient times, there were few people who wanted to be called "towns", and it took a long time for them to grow into "towns". From the above situation of Hu and Chen people moving into Huchen ancient town, we can see that the surname of Chen is earlier than that of Hu. Even if Chen Shicong moved in the first year of Jiayou (1056) in the Northern Song Dynasty, it was only more than 20 years until the third year of Yuanfeng (1080), and it could not be developed to the degree of "town" by surname. It can be considered that the "Hu" and "Chen" ethnic groups in Huchen town moved to Huchen area at that time. They made great efforts and contributions to the early prosperity of Huzhen town at the beginning of the Northern Song Dynasty (960) at the latest. However, they must have left Jinyun for a new regional development.
Economic situation
Factory construction
With Huzhen people's spirit of "dare to venture, dare to venture, dare to work, dare to be the first", Huzhen's economy and society has developed rapidly, all kinds of enterprises have sprung up, and all kinds of matching markets have also prospered. In 2005, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the town was 3.686 billion yuan, of which the industrial output value was 3.6 billion yuan, and the financial revenue was 86.4734 million yuan. the total industrial economy accounts for more than one-third of the county, and the five leading industries of sewing machine, band sawing machine, cutting tools, cotton textile, building materials and metals have obvious characteristics. It is "an important domestic and industrial special sewing machine production base in China", "the largest band sawing machine production base in China", "Jiangnan cutting tools distribution center" and "Zhejiang machine tool brand trademark base". In the town, an industrial functional zone with infrastructure investment of more than 60 million yuan and complete functions covers an area of 8.66 square kilometers. There are 87 enterprises in the zone, which have been built and put into operation one after another.
Fruit and vegetable base
As one of the three major basins in Lishui City, the agricultural development of Hu town takes the industrial chain as the breakthrough point, the base construction as the key point, the market demand as the guidance, and the farmers' income as the purpose, so as to realize the integration of production, supply and marketing
