Zhenbu town is located in the northwest of Qingtian County, 43 kilometers away from Qingtian County and 29 kilometers away from Lishui City. It borders ZHENWANG Township in the southwest, lakou town and Zhangcun Township in the northwest, and Shuqiao Township and Haixi Township in the north. It covers an area of 129 square kilometers and has a population of 15000.
Historical evolution
During the Qing Dynasty, it was the fourteenth foreign capital. During the period of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of four districts. Zhenbu township was established in May 1949. After several reforms, it was renamed Zhenbu Township in October 1983. On January 10, 2019, it was withdrawn and changed into Zhenbu town. It is the youngest town in Qingtian County.
