Haidian Street

Haidian Street is under the jurisdiction of Haidian District, Beijing. Located in the east of the central part of the region, it is the political, economic, cultural and educational center of the region. It covers an area of 6.9 square kilometers and has a resident population of 144700 (2010). It governs 33 communities. The office is located in Xinhai building, 10 Danling street. Historic sites include Lejia garden, ancient mosque, duck Tong House, Li Lianying house and other municipal and district cultural relics protection units.

Haidian town was set up in May 1949, and streets were set up in May 1954, which is the first street system in Haidian District. In March 1963, Haidian Street was rebuilt.
