Daxikou Township
Daxikou Township belongs to Wuyi County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. It is located in the southern mountainous area of Wuyi and is one of the old revolutionary base townships. It borders Lishui City in the East, Sangang Township in the south, Liucheng town in the West and Mingshan Township in the north. The territory is rich in mountain forest resources, with a total area of 106000 mu, which is a key forestry Township in Wuyi County.
Historical evolution
In 1950, Xikou, Shuitou and Shuangxi were merged into Xikou Township. In 1981, due to the change of place name, it was called daxikou township. Since 1978, Xikou to sanbaitian highway, wukengwao to Zhucui highway, and tuokeng to chakeng highway have been built successively. The highway mileage in the township has reached 16.4 km, and six simple highways, such as neiwei and panshantou, have been built, with a total mileage of 21.1 km, connecting with the county highway. In 1986, three television ground receiving stations were built in daxikou, shanxiabao and Qiaotou. From 1993 to 1997, 13.8 million yuan was invested to build Fengyuan power station. Cultural customs
Wujiadi natural village, panshantou administrative village, has a long history of planting ginger. Its ginger pieces are big and its head is purplish red. It is rich in strong ginger flavor but not spicy. Its products are exported to Jinhua, Lishui, Yongkang and other places. More than 90% of the farmers in the village grow ginger, with an income of more than 150000 yuan and a per capita income of more than 1000 yuan. The dragon lantern in daxikou is made of bamboo strips. The dragon body is connected by pine board. Each person has a board, which can be lifted and carried. It is more than 100 meters long. It dances on the 14th and 15th of the first lunar month every year and ends on the 18th. It dances all over the village and is invited to dance dragon in nearby villages. The Baoma lantern at the foot of the mountain is made of bamboo strips to tie the horse's head and body. It is pasted with cotton paper on the outside, lit with wax candle in the middle or installed with small electric lamp. It is attached to a boy who is 10-15 years old and dressed as a palace figure of the Han Dynasty. Through dance, martial arts, duet and other forms to express the historical story of Zhaojun and fan.
