Fuquan street is located in the south of Keqiao District, 11 kilometers away from Keqiao city. It is adjacent to Tingshan Township in Yuecheng District in the East, Lanting street in the south, Lizhu town and HUTANG street in the west, Keyan street and Dongpu street in Yuecheng District in the north, and the South double line of national highway 104 passes through the territory. The town covers an area of 39.82 square kilometers, with 22 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee, 12128 households and more than 39000 people.

Place name allusion

Fuquan street is named after Fuquan because of the overturned ship in the shape of mountain. In July 1950, Fuquan township was built. In December 1990, it was an established town. In May 1992, Shengli township was merged into Fuquan town. At the end of the year, the triangle area where Shaoxing Fuquan highway and Shaoxing Shengli highway meet was selected as the new town center, and gradually developed into a new rural town with an area of 1.02 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

Fuquan street has been awarded the titles of "top 100 towns with comprehensive strength in Zhejiang Province" and "top 30 towns with comprehensive strength in Shaoxing City" for many years. It is "one of the first batch of well-off towns in Shaoxing City" and "advanced town of agricultural and rural modernization construction in Shaoxing County".

The industrial economy of the town is dominated by jewelry, leather plastic, printing and dyeing, thermoelectricity and furniture. There are 12 national large and medium-sized enterprises, 1 National Torch Plan key high-tech enterprise, 1 provincial high-tech enterprise, and 3 small giant enterprises in cities and counties. The town has gradually formed a gold and silver jewelry, artificial leather, furniture and clothing, printing and dyeing and textile industries based industrial development pattern. Among them, Riyue group ranks the first in the national jewelry industry in terms of production and sales for many years, and nameless group is the largest and most advanced enterprise in the province's artificial leather industry in terms of production scale and equipment. There are more than 300 enterprises in the town, including 12 national large enterprises and 2 national high-tech enterprises.

In 2003, the total industrial output value of the town was 10.387 billion yuan, the self operated export was 288 million US dollars, and the per capita income of farmers was 8392 yuan. The comprehensive economic strength of the town ranked fifth among the top 100 towns in Zhejiang Province.

In July 2017, with the approval of Zhejiang Provincial People's government, Fuquan town was abolished and Fuquan street in Keqiao district was established.
