Fuxi Street

Fuxi street, subordinate to Deqing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, was established in January 2016, formerly known as Moganshan Economic Development Zone in July 1992 (renamed Zhejiang Deqing Economic Development Zone in December 2005).

The street is located in the north central part of Deqing County, and is adjacent to Dai Xi Town, Wuxing District, Huzhou. The area is 91 square kilometers, with 1 communities and 11 administrative villages. The registered residence population is 26 thousand, and the resident population is 63 thousand. The sub district office is located at 198 Changhong street.

Historical evolution

In January 2016, with the approval of Zhejiang Province and Huzhou City, some districts of Deqing County were adjusted. The former Wukang town and Sanhe Township were abolished and Wukang street, Wuyang street, Fuxi street and Xiazhuhu street were established. Fuxi Street area was originally under the jurisdiction of Wukang town (established in 1999-2016), most of which were in the original Sanqiao town (established before 1999, also known as sanqiaobu), the original Longshan township (established before 1999), most of the original Qiushan township (established before 1999) and Shishan village of laowukang town (established before 1999). In July 1992, Deqing County set up "Zhejiang Moganshan Economic Development Zone" in the north of laowukang town and the south of Sanqiao town. In October 1993, Zhejiang Provincial People's Government approved the first batch of provincial economic development zones. In December 2005, it was re examined by the national development and Reform Commission and renamed Zhejiang Deqing economic development zone. It is a provincial high-tech industrial park, which is the predecessor of Fuxi street.
