Historical evolution

Yangxi street can be traced back to the Qin and Han Dynasties. It was the habitat of the ancient Yue people. In Song Dynasty, there was zhuchiyi. In the Ming Dynasty, on the basis of zhuchiyi, fenlupu, shekengpu and jiaoshanpu were set up, which were important nodes in the traffic of Yanzhou west line. In 195, the special name of "Yangxi town" was set up for the first time. It was changed to Yangxi Township in 1947.

After the founding of new China, it was still named Yangxi township. In July 1957, Jiaoshan agricultural society was assigned to Xin'anjiang district. History and culture

Zhu Maichen, a famous historical figure, once lived in Zhuchi village of Yangxi. His former residence, Zhugong ancestral hall, has been preserved in the village till now. Therefore, Zhu Chi got its name, and there are many allusions about Zhu Maichen.

On the side of national highway 320, there is a sign that says "Zhugong temple, a famous Minister of the Western Han Dynasty". According to local villagers' legend, Zhu Maichen lived in this village before he made his fortune. The ancestral hall of Zhu Maichen has existed for a long time. It was destroyed in the cultural revolution and has been rebuilt.
