Hengcun town

Hengcun town is a town under the jurisdiction of Tonglu County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is located in the middle of Tonglu County, adjacent to Tongjun street in the East, Eshan she Township and Zhongshan Township in the south, Yaolin town in the West and Xindeng town in Fuyang District of Hangzhou City in the north. It is an important regional economic town in the middle of Tonglu County and is known as "famous knitting town in China".

Hengcun was formerly known as pukouzhuang and dushanzhuang. With the prosperity of market trade, the expansion of village houses and markets, it became a market town. Historical evolution

The original jurisdiction of hengcun town used to belong to Anle Township and Changle township of Tonglu County.

In 1941, Anle township was changed to hengcun town.

In the spring of 1950, it was divided into three townships: hengcun, Lianhe and Anzhong.

In June 1956, the Union and Anzhong were abolished and entered into hengcun village. In October 1958, it became hengcun commune, belonging to hengcun district.

In October 1961, the scale was adjusted and hengcun commune was established, which still belongs to hengcun district.

In August 1963, hengcun district was abolished and the system of county and community was still implemented.

In 1984, the system of township and village was restored and changed to hengcun township.

In April 1985, it was changed to hengcun town.

The former name of Fangbu town was fengbutou, and later it was named today.

Fangbu belonged to the township of quality before 1938, and to the township of Sunan from 1938 to 1958.

From September 1958 to March 1959, Fangbu was subordinate to hengcun commune. From 1959 to 1960, it was subordinate to hengcun commune for the second time.

In April 1985, Fangbu belonged to Jiuling Township again. In 1992, Fenglian Township and Jiuling Township merged to establish a town system, which was named Fangbu town.

In 2004, the original Fangbu town was abolished and merged with hengcun town. Fenshui town, Fuchunjiang town and Jiangnan Town became one of Tonglu's "one pair of three cities".
