Zhenghong town is the hometown of Gu Zhenghong, a famous martyr of the May 30th Movement. In June 2000, Zhenghong, Zhanggou and chenzhu were merged after the adjustment of township administrative divisions. It is located in the South Gate of Binhai County, adjacent to Caiqiao town in the East, Sheyang County in the southeast, Funing County in the southwest across the Sheyang River (the junction of the three counties), and Tongyu town in the north.
