Quanzhan District, located in the southwest of Xuzhou City, is subordinate to Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It embraces Yunlong Lake and Yunlong mountain. It is named after Quanzhan National Forest Park.

In Quanshan District, there is the only National University Science Park in Jiangbei area of Jiangsu Province and Huaihai Economic Zone China University of mining and Technology National University Science Park. There are also natural and cultural landscapes such as Huaihai battle martyrs memorial hall, lalishan Han tomb, Han painting statue stone art museum, etc.

Quanshan district is the economic, educational and medical center of Xuzhou, and one of the core areas of Xuzhou mega city. It is also a national advanced zone for scientific and technological progress, a national pilot zone for intellectual property projects, an advanced zone for talents in Jiangsu Province, and an innovative pilot zone in Jiangsu Province.

Quanshan district should take the lead in building Jiangbei into a strong modern service industry district and march into the first-class urban area of Jiangsu Province.

In 2015, Quanshan District became Xuzhou's second national old industrial base relocation and transformation pilot after Xuzhou Gulou District, which will provide new momentum for the economic and social development of Quanshan District in the 13th five year plan.

Historical evolution

Xuzhou was liberated on December 1, 1948.

In 1983, Jiangsu abolished the regional Commissioner's office and implemented the system of city governing county. Xuzhou has 5 districts (Yunlong, Gulou, suburban, Jiawang, mining area) and 6 counties (Fengxian, Peixian, Pixian, Tongshan, Suining, Xinyi).

In 1993, the administrative division of the urban area was adjusted, and the four sub district offices of Wangling, Yong'an, Xiguan and Hubin in Yunlong District were put under the jurisdiction of the suburb; the two sub district offices of Jiahe and Heping in Gulou District and the two sub district offices of tongpei and pailou in the West of Zhongshan North Road were put under the jurisdiction of the suburb, and the suburb of Xuzhou City was renamed as Quanshan district.

Quanshan district looks at the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal in the north and Xuzhou Guanyin International Airport in the south. The two main railway lines of Longhai and Beijing Luzhou pass through the area. It is connected with the three expressways of Beijing Luzhou, Beijing Fuzhou and Lianhuo on the outside and the hub of Luning oil pipeline on the inside. Huaihai battle Martyrs Memorial Tower (Museum) is located at the foot of Fenghuang Mountain in the southern suburb of Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It was established in 1959 and opened in November 1965. It covers an area of 790000 square meters.
