Historical evolution

Qinghemen, one of the 21 wicker gates in the Qing Dynasty, was set up in 1676. Qinghe gate is named for its proximity to Qinghe River. Qinghe gate is the abbreviation of Qinghe gate. In a long historical period, Qinghemen was under the jurisdiction of Yizhou. In 1885, it was established as a town under the jurisdiction of Jinzhou Prefecture.

In December 1934, the Japanese puppet government implemented the new provincial system, dividing the northeast into 14 provinces and setting up Jinzhou province. Qinghemen is under the jurisdiction of Yixian County, Jinzhou province.

At the beginning of 1948, beifuyi County United Government of re Liao region was established in Qinghemen. Beifuyi county is divided into 17 districts, Qinghemen is the ninth district.

In May 1949, the Union government of beifuyi county was abolished, and Qinghemen became the ninth district under the jurisdiction of Yixian County in western Liaoning Province.

On June 19, 1954, Western and Eastern Liaoning provinces merged into Liaoning Province. Qinghemen is under the jurisdiction of Yixian County, Liaoning Province, and is the Ninth District of Yixian County.

In March 1955, the Ninth District of Yixian County was abolished and Qinghemen township of Yixian County was built.

From 1956 to 1958, Qinghemen was under the jurisdiction of Yixian County, Jinzhou District, Liaoning Province. It was Qinghemen Township, Qinghemen town and Qinghemen District of Yixian County.

In August 1959, it was transferred to Fuxin city and Qinghemen people's commune of Fuxin city was established. In October of the same year, it was under the jurisdiction of Fuxin suburban office.

In March 1978, qincaigou brigade of zizishan commune and Wujiayao brigade of yimatu commune in Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County were put under the jurisdiction of Qinghemen Town People's commune.

In 1980, the establishment of the people's commune was abolished and changed into the people's Government of Qinghemen Town, which is still under the jurisdiction of the suburb of Fuxin city.

On February 21, 1983, with the approval of Liaoning provincial government, Qinghemen district was established.
