Linxia County Linxia county is a county under the jurisdiction of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province. It has a large population and a large agricultural county. By 2019, it has jurisdiction over 25 townships (16 townships and 9 towns), 218 administrative villages and 4 neighborhood committees. There are 9 ethnic groups, including Han, Hui and Dongxiang. The permanent population is 424200. Among the permanent population, the rural population accounts for 88.17% and the minority population 43.4%.
Linxia county is located in the central part of Gansu Province and the southwest of Linxia Prefecture. It borders Linxia city, Dongxiang County and Hezheng County in the East, Hezuo city and Xiahe County in Gannan Prefecture in the south, Xunhua County in Qinghai Province in the west, Jishishan County in the northwest and Yongjing County across the river in the north.
In 2019, the county's GDP will reach 4.171 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%; the investment in fixed assets will reach 2.078 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 25.09%; the total retail sales of social consumer goods will reach 975 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.45%; the general public budget revenue will reach 143 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.28%; the per capita disposable income of rural residents will reach 7890.80 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9%; and the per capita disposable income of urban residents will reach 22196.30 yuan, 7.4% year on year.
Evolution of organizational system
The Zhujiadun site and yangjiahe site found in Qiaosi Township belong to Machang, Banshan and Qijia cultures. It can be concluded that human beings have been living and reproducing in the county more than 5000 years ago.
During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, the county was the residence of Qiang people and was under the jurisdiction of Han Qiang marquis. Hanqiang Marquis Jianyi (now Shuangcheng) is the earliest city in the county. After the establishment of Longxi County in the Qin Dynasty, hanqiang Marquis was destroyed and Wuhan county was set up.
After the founding of the Western Han Dynasty, it followed the system of the Qin Dynasty, and the county governance remained unchanged. In the sixth year of the first Yuan Dynasty (81 B.C.) of emperor Zhao of the Han Dynasty, qianhan county was changed to Jincheng county. Later, it was divided into Baishi county from qianhan county. The county government was located in the former site of qianhan County, and the site of qianhan county was moved eastward to Gucheng village of Xinji Town. In the early Eastern Han Dynasty, the Western Han system was still followed. In the 12th year of Jianwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 36), qianhan county was under the jurisdiction of Longxi County.
During the Three Kingdoms period, Longxi County belonged to Qinzhou and Wuhan county to Longxi County.
In the early Western Jin Dynasty, the Wei system was still followed. In the second year of Taikang (281), Emperor Wu of the Jin Dynasty abolished Wuhan county and established Wuhan garrison. During the Sixteen States period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Zhang Ji took charge of Liangzhou and established Qianliang regime. He established Jinxing County in Hehuang area and governed 10 counties such as Xingjin and Wuhan. In the second year of Jianyuan and the 21st year of Zhangjun (344) of emperor Kang of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Hezhou was divided into two parts because of its vast territory (now Linxia). Hezhou governs 10 counties, including Xingjin, Jincheng and Daxia. Xingjin County governs Luhan county. The county government is located in the site of Luhan county (now the old town of Xinji Town). The existing relics can be identified. After the death of Qianliang, Hezhou was governed by the regimes established by the former Zhao, the latter Zhao, the former Qin, the latter Qin, the Di, the Qiang and other ethnic groups, while the Wuhan County remained.
In the 10th year of emperor Xiaowu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (385), Qifu Guoren established the Western Qin Dynasty. Today, the county is the most part of Wuhan County in Hezhou of the Western Qin Dynasty. It was once conquered by former Zhao and later Zhao, but it is still under the rule of Qifu. In 412 ad, Chifu CHIPAN moved its capital from tanjiao (now Cuijia village, Liuji Township, Jishishan county) to Wuhan. He set up a hundred officers and generals to fight everywhere and unify six prefectures and 30 counties. The Western Qin regime reached its peak. Gucheng village, a new market town, is not only the capital of the Western Qin Dynasty, but also the seat of Xingjin Prefecture and qianhan county. In 431, the Western Qin Dynasty was destroyed by helianxia, and the whole territory of Hezhou was occupied by Tuyuhun. In the sixth year of Taiping Zhenjun in the Northern Wei Dynasty (445), Hezhou was changed into Wuhan town. In the 16th year of Taihe (492), Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty, it was changed into Hezhou, and Wuhan County remained. In the Western Wei Dynasty, the system of state, county and county was implemented. In 535, the first year of Datong in the Western Wei Dynasty, Hezhou ruled Wuhan County, which governed Wuhan county. In 546, Fenglin county was established. Today, the northern part of the county is under the jurisdiction of Fenglin County, the southern part is under the jurisdiction of Wuhan County, and the northern part is along it.
In 583, Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty abolished the county and saved the prefecture. In 607, Emperor Yang guangkuangye of Sui Dynasty changed the Zhou Dynasty into a county. Wuhan County belonged to Wuhan county. Fenglin county was abandoned, and its land was merged into Wuhan county.
Tang Gaozu Liyuan Wude two years (619 years), home Hezhou, led Wuhan, Daxia two counties. In 627, Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, practiced the three-level system of Dao, Zhou and Xian. There were 10 Dao in the whole country, and Hezhou belonged to Longyou Dao. In 742, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty changed Hezhou into Anxiang County, which belongs to longyoudao and governs Luhan county. In the 14th year of Tianbao (755), an Shi rebellion took place, and Tubo conquered Longyou. In 763, Hezhou was occupied by Tubo. Tubo set up an army in Wuhan of Hezhou, which was under the jurisdiction of the commander-in-chief of the Yuan Dynasty. The army had the titles of history and Taiwan.
In the early Northern Song Dynasty, kusiluo, a descendant of Tubo royal family, occupied Hehuang area. Zhao Heng, the emperor of Song Dynasty, granted kusiluo's grandson muzheng the title of governor of Hezhou. In the sixth year of the reign of emperor Shenzong of the Song Dynasty (1073), Wang Shao entered the army to "recover" Hezhou in the name of breaking "Xixia possession". Hezhou successively belongs to Xihe Road, Xihe lanhui Road, Xihe Lanhuang Road, Xihe langu Road, etc. In the first year of Shaoxing (1131), Emperor Gaozong of the Southern Song Dynasty seized Hezhou area and set up Prefecture and county, which still belonged to Xihe road. Jinxizong Wanyan Huangtong two years (1142) set Lintao Road, the jurisdiction of Hezhou. Qianhan county was abolished in 1154, the second year of Zhenyuan reign of wanyanliang, king of Jin Hailing. In that year, qianhan county was restored, and all the prefectures and counties were in the county.
In March 1227, Hezhou area was occupied by Mongolian Khanate. In the fourth year of mengge (1254), Yuan Xianzong was under the jurisdiction of gongchang Prefecture. In the fifth year of Wanzong (1255), the Mongol Khanate set up the commander's office of the Xuanwei department in Hezhou to manage the affairs of Mongolia and Tibet. In 1271, the Yuan Dynasty was founded. It set up Hezhou road in Shaanxi Province and led to three counties, Qiang, Ninghe and Anxiang (now Anxiang county territory). All of them were under the command of the central xuanzhengyuan, Tubo and other xuanweisi prefectures.
In the early Ming Dynasty, the old system of Yuan Dynasty was followed. In the first month of the fourth year of Hongwu (1371), Zhu Yuanzhang, Emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty, set up Hezhou Wei as a military and political system, belonging to Xi'an capital. In the first month of the sixth year of Hongwu (1373), the capital of Hezhou was set up, belonging to the province of xingzhongshu in Shaanxi Province. In July 1374, Xi'an xingduwei was set up here, including Linghe Prefecture, duogan (now southern Qinghai Province and Northern and Western Sichuan Province) and wuszang (now Tibet Autonomous Region). In October 1375, Xi'an was changed into Shaanxi Provincial commander. The next year, Xi'an provincial commander was abolished and Xi'an provincial commander was subordinate to Shaanxi Provincial commander. Hongwu ten years (1377) divided into left and right Wei. In July of 1379, Zuowei was changed to Taozhou, and Youwei was promoted to military and civilian command department. In 1473, Zhu Jianshen, Emperor Xianzong of the Ming Dynasty, restored Hezhou, belonging to Lintao Prefecture of Shaanxi Province.
In the early years of the reign of emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty, the Ming system was adopted. In 1663, Hezhou belonged to Lintao Prefecture, Gansu Province. In 1738, Lintao Prefecture came under the jurisdiction of Lanzhou Prefecture, and Hezhou Prefecture became subordinate to Lanzhou Prefecture. There was no County under the prefecture. Now Linxia county is directly under the jurisdiction of Lanzhou Prefecture.
In 1913, Lanzhou government was abolished. Hezhou is renamed Daohe County, which belongs to Lanshan road. The county is governed by Chengguan town in the suburb of Linxia city. In March 1928, the Ministry of the interior of the national government changed the names of some counties in Gansu Province, and Daohe county was renamed Linxia county. Since then, the name of Linxia county has been separated from Daohe County into three counties: Ninghe (now Hezheng), Ningding (now Guanghe) and Yongjing. In 1934, Gansu provincial government set up the office of Linxia administrative inspector, which belongs to Linxia county. In May 1944, the office of Linxia administrative inspector was changed into the office of the Fifth District administrative inspector, and Linxia county still belongs to it.
Linxia county was liberated on August 22, 1949, and the people's Government of Linxia county was established on August 26 (the county government is in today's Linxia city), which is subordinate to the office of Linxia district administrative inspector. On June 23, 1950, Linxia city was set up from Linxia County, and the county government moved from the urban area to Hanji. In December 1958, Linxia county was abolished, and Linxia and Yongjing counties were merged into Linxia city. In December 1961, the system of Linxia and Yongjing counties was restored, and Linxia county government moved to Hanji. In December 1973, the organizational system of Linxia city was abolished and merged into Linxia county. The county government was moved to Chengguan Town (now Linxia city). On August 31, 1983, the State Council approved the restoration of Linxia city's organizational system, with counties and cities set up separately, and the county government moved to Hanji. Since then, the county government has been in Hanji.
On the morning of November 21, 2020, the Information Office of Gansu provincial government held a press conference to announce the withdrawal of Linxia county from the poverty-stricken county sequence.
