In the Han Dynasty, it belonged to wanwen County of Yizhou.

In 1390, Luoshan county was abandoned and Pingyi County Wei was newly established. In the south, yizuo county was still established.

In the early Qing Dynasty, Wei of Pingyi County belonged to Dusi of Yunnan Province, and yizuo County belonged to Qujing military and civilian government. In 1657, yizuo county was abolished as Pingyi County. In the 34th year of Kangxi reign (1695), Yi county was established by Yi people in Pingping County, which belongs to the military and civilian government of Qujing.

On July 18, 2001, with the approval of the provincial government, Suo Township and Zhuyuan Township were removed to establish towns; on August 25, the provincial government approved the renaming of Yuwang township to shibalianshan township.

On April 29, 2002, the provincial government approved the removal of Dahe township to establish a town; on September 8, 2002, the provincial government approved the removal of Mohong Township and Fucun township to establish a town.

On October 20, 2013, the provincial government approved the revocation of Zhongan town. Fuyuan County abolished Zhong'an town and established Zhong'an street and Shengjing street.

On March 3, 2014, the provincial government approved the adjustment of xiyangtang village in Housuo town to Shengjing street.
